Rooted in a deep desire to cultivate a love of reading while encouraging movement and 'beats,' Books & Beats offers a unique approach to storytelling.

With 20 years of marketing experience, Andrea leverages her expertise to not only write and illustrate captivating children's books but also to share them through dynamic, interactive story sessions. Her vision for Books & Beats is to provide young children with opportunities to engage with literature in a way that is both entertaining and enriching.
Despite being profoundly deaf and legally blind, Andrea serves as a role model, demonstrating resilience and determination in pursuing her passion for providing wholesome content to young children. She aims to inspire young readers and show them that success knows no bounds.
Recognizing the critical importance of early literacy development, Jim has spearheaded the creation of innovative programs designed to engage children at key stages of their development. Central to his efforts is Books & Beats, a unique initiative aimed at instilling a love of reading in young minds, enhancing their reading skills through creative and interactive methods, and nurturing their individual potential. Jim's commitment to guiding children on a journey toward realizing their innate talents and purpose is rooted in his belief in the unique gifts bestowed upon each individual by God.
His dedication to this cause is reflected in his residence in South Carolina, where he and his wife are actively involved in advancing literacy and educational opportunities for children.

Katarina is an accomplished elementary school teacher, bringing a wealth of experience having taught both second and third grade within the public school system. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Anderson University, where she honed her passion for fostering young minds. Committed to continual growth and development, Katarina pursued further education, obtaining a Master's degree in Reading from Arkansas State University. Looking ahead, Katarina is preparing to embark on a new educational journey as she plans to homeschool her own children once they reach school age. Drawing upon her professional expertise and academic background, she is dedicated to providing them with a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
Recognizing the importance of quality content and language proficiency, Katarina has aligned herself with Books and Beats, a platform devoted to delivering wholesome educational materials in a format conducive to learning. Through this collaboration, she aims to ensure that children receive access to engaging and enriching resources that promote both intellectual growth and linguistic proficiency.
